Frequently Asked Questions
Who needs in-home care?
Individuals who need help living independently at home rather than being institutionalized or living with relatives. Also, other cases involve seniors whose family caregivers need respite or time off from care responsibilities.
How much does the service cost?
Our prices are very competitive. We charge the same hourly rate for weekdays and weekends. We also offer attractive daily rates for live-in care.
How does in-home care cost compare to assisted living or other similar alternatives?
In many cases, in-home care will cost less than assisted living or nursing homes. We can tailor a plan to meet your needs and budget.
Do you provide care in assisted living facilities and nursing homes?
Absolutely. We can provide care in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, long term rehabilitation facilities and just about any place you call home.
Are the caregivers bonded and insured? How about the company?
For your safety and support, all caregivers are bonded and insured. The organization is insured and licensed.
Will my caregiver do housekeeping?
Our caregivers do light housekeeping. This means they do such tasks as laundry, changing linens, doing dishes, vacuuming, tidying and cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms and bedroom.
What if my caregiver is sick or goes on vacation?
That is one of the benefits of using our services. We will work to find a temporary caregiver in the event of caregiver emergency or vacation.
How do I determine which services I need?
Each client receives a free in-home assessment to determine the care needed. Family members are welcome and are encouraged to participate in the process. Decisions about your care will always be decided by you, keeping you in control.
How do I pay for my services?
Typically our services are privately paid. Standard health care and Medicare do not cover the costs of long-term care. Some people have long-term care insurance and we can work with you in that case.
How do I make payments?
When we start we ask that you pay one week in advance. Then you will be billed weekly for your services. Our invoices are detailed with the dates and times of service along with the caregiver who provided care on each day. All payments are made to us and are never given to the caregiver. We pay the caregiver and cover all employer responsibilities like insurance, workers compensation and employer taxes. Our preferred method of payment is via any major credit card and we also accept personal checks and money orders.
What if I don't like the caregiver?
No problem. Your complete satisfaction is our top priority. If you are not happy with your caregiver, we will work with you to find a suitable replacement.
